A screenshot has appeared on reddit showing two new weapons from Tom Clancy’s The Division: the high-end weapon “M249 Para” and the superior weapon “AUG A3P”.
In addition to the high-end weapons Cassidy and Caduceus, another high-quality weapon has surfaced: the M249 Para. It is a light machine gun with a magazine size of 141. Whether it will be available in the open beta is unknown. Probably not, as it is significantly above the level that will be possible in the beta. All the information currently available about this weapon can be seen in the following screenshot:
Regarding talents, only “Restored” is shown. This perk resets all negative status effects when you eliminate a target with this weapon.
The M249 is a standard infantry machine gun of the United States Armed Forces, which will apparently also make its way into The Division. After all, the game takes place in post-apocalyptic New York.
By the way, the screenshot comes from a new video that appeared on IGN. The developers discuss how seriously they take the “Tom Clancy” brand for their game.
The assault rifle AUG A3P is also coming to the game
Additionally, the previously unknown AUG A3P is depicted, a weapon of superior quality. Apart from the fact that it does less damage at the same level than the high-end, nothing is known about this assault rifle yet.
The AUG is a weapon from Austria that is primarily used by the Austrian Armed Forces. However, it is also available to the United States Department of Homeland Security. Therefore, it is quite realistic that this assault rifle will feature in Ubisoft’s upcoming MMO shooter.
