Catching a Ditto in Pokémon GO is not easy. However, a new monster has now appeared on the Ditto list that can transform.
With Remoraid, there is a new species in Pokémon GO that can transform into the shapeshifter Ditto after being caught. This is particularly convenient for trainers who are currently on the hunt for their Mew.
Ditto now as Remoraid in Pokémon GO
Many trainers need to find a Ditto in Pokémon GO. Professor Willow needs such an encounter for his research. The problem is that Ditto can disguise itself as one of more than ten species and does not appear in its Ditto form in the wild.
Remoraid for the Water Event: Currently, the Water Event is active in Pokémon GO. Shortly after the event started, trainers noticed that the water Pokémon Remoraid can transform into a Ditto after being caught. The proof video is available here on Reddit.

Will Remoraid always be a Ditto possibility? The Water Event in Pokémon GO runs until June 21. Trainers are now wondering whether Remoraid will no longer be able to transform into Ditto after the event ends. There is a possibility that this transformation is only active during the event. Therefore, trainers on the hunt for Ditto should catch as many Remoraid as possible while their spawn chance is increased during the water festival.
We can only say for sure once Remoraid can still be caught after the event that can transform into Ditto.
