Personalities play an important role in Digimon Time Stranger. We will show you how you can influence them.
Here’s how you can change your Digimon’s personality: At the start, each of your Digimon is assigned a random personality. But don’t worry – there are a few ways through which you can influence them:
- You can steer your Digimon’s personality by talking to them. To do this, you need to have them in your team, where they will walk beside you during adventures. When you talk to them, you can change the personality.
- For reserve Digimon, you can influence them by talking via Digiline. These are the Digimon that are not summoned in battles. They will talk to you randomly, so you have no control over when you can change their personality.
- Train in the Digifarm to shift and boost personality
The most effective way is the Digifarm, as you can proceed more purposefully and save time, since you can park your Digimon there for 30 minutes of real time and continue playing or invest Yen to complete the training directly.
However, the Digifarm is not accessible right from the start. So if you haven’t unlocked it yet, we’ll show you here when you can visit it.
Digifarm – Here’s how to unlock it and what you can do there
The Digifarm is only opened once you have found the door to the theater in the Kabukicho back alley in Shinjuku during the main story. This happens right after you defeat Raremon in its boss fight.
What can you do there? Once you can enter, you need to talk to the receptionist to visit the Digifarm. There, you can specifically train your Digimon and strengthen your bond with them through snacks.
The different training sets influence the stats of your companion and also specifically change the personality. This way, you can shape them the way you like and need.
Why should you change the personality?
Changing a Digimon’s personality can be necessary if you want to achieve the following things:
- Boost certain agent abilities
- Be careful, once points are spent on the skills, they cannot be reset
- Increase a specific stat to digitize into a certain Digimon
- The personality increases some stats and if you change them, you can also change the Digimon form into which your companion digitizes
- De-digitize to the previous form of a Digimon
- If you want an earlier form, the personality must match it, otherwise you cannot de-digitize
If you’re a completionist and want to achieve 100% in Digimon Story Time Stranger, you also can’t avoid completing the quest ‘All eyes on me’. However, finding all the fragments can prove to be tricky.
