Project X is an ambitious game. It aims to combine MMORPGs with shooter elements. Essentially, you operate in a vast, open game world, where up to 1,000 players can be present at the same time.
This world is supposed to be simulated down to the smallest detail. This includes dynamic weather that impacts your activities. Additionally, there is a physics simulation of the plant life. If you brush past a bush, the moving leaves will reveal to your enemies where you have been.
There are also role-playing elements
Role-playing elements are also utilized. You can customize your hero not only based on their appearance and equipment but also improve skills.
Furthermore, there is a story that ties the entire game together. There is a reason why you are in the area where Project X takes place. Everywhere you go, stories that belong to this narrative await you. These stories guide you through the game area and also to the central city, which acts as a kind of hub. Additionally, there are other smaller towns that are assigned to different factions.
You experience the stories through quests and events that appear dynamically in the world. Depending on how you complete a quest or event, it will influence the further course of the main story. Even if you are on your own, you can still experience the story.
However, that is not without danger, as other players may hunt you down. The PvP is intended to remain fair. Anyone who constantly hunts other players will have a bounty placed on them and will become the hunted.
PUBG with 400 players?
And how is this game comparable to PUBG? In addition to the regular open gameplay with around 1,000 players operating simultaneously, there is also a battle royale mode available for 400 players. You can switch to this arena mode at any time and then participate in the battle royale fights. These are designed to be even more tactical than in other battle royale games due to the aforementioned simulation of the world. The developers of Project X see their mode as a kind of advancement or evolution of the genre.
