Paragon – Great graphics, high production values
Paragon (PS4, PC) primarily aims to provide the player with exciting, tactical, fast-paced, and risky gameplay. Although Paragon has been in open beta since August of last year, the F2P MOBA already has 5.7 million registered players.
In Paragon, two teams compete against each other in a 5vs5 format and try to capture the opponents’ base. You access the base through three lanes, defended by shooting towers. For destroying towers or killing enemy heroes, the player earns experience points, which can be invested in card points. These serve to improve and adapt one’s own hero.
What impresses in Paragon are mainly the great graphics and high production values. Paragon is not just visually appealing “for an MOBA”; it stands out across genres. No wonder, Paragon is not from just anyone, but from Epic Games. They were also responsible for Gears of War on the Xbox 360.
While Paragon was initially slow, it has now adapted more to existing trends with the Monolith update: The game is now faster, has more action, and is therefore more successful.
