On October 7, 2025, update 1.2.10.0 for Dune: Awakening was released. Included: a restoration system for destroyed vehicles.
What is this new system? With the new update, you have the ability to recover lost vehicles through a new mode of your vehicle backup tool. This applies to vehicles that have been completely destroyed by sandworms, Coriolis storms, or in combat.
Note that you must recover lost vehicles within 72 hours, or they are lost forever. Up to 5 vehicles can be restored at the same time. Each restoration costs a Solaris fee, and restored vehicles lose 15 percent of their maximum durability.
Highlights and Patch Notes for Update 1.2.10.0
What else does the new update bring? Other highlights of the newly released patch include the following innovations:
- The construction tool now features a “Replace” mode, allowing building parts to be replaced with other compatible parts. This way, you can quickly upgrade your bases with new sets.
- The loot in PvP areas has been updated and is now instantiated, similar to loot in PvE areas.
- The developers have implemented a new loot structure for the Deep Desert. Blueprints do not rotate weekly anymore. Instead, all blueprints can be purchased each week, except those reserved for Landsraad merchants.
- In the vehicle management menu, it is now possible to select the vehicle as a respawn point.
- The visibility of vehicles has been drastically increased to up to 2 km.
- Wind traps no longer consume filters when the base’s water storage is full.
- 17 new Dune Man building components have been added. This is a response to one of the critiques surrounding the latest DLC of the survival MMO.
- An exploit allowing players to multiply Solari in trading posts and social hubs has been removed from the game.
