On October 8th, the first expansion for Diablo 4, Vessel of Hatred, begins. When you can download the update and what it contains, you will find out here on MeinMMO.
In October, “Vessel of Hatred” launches – the first expansion for Diablo 4. The update brings numerous new features to the ARPG that can be used not only by players who purchase the DLC. Below, you will find out when the download will be available.
When does Vessel of Hatred release? The Vessel of Hatred expansion releases on October 8th at 01:00 AM our time. However, you can download the update earlier, depending on which platform you play on. At the same time, the new Season 6 begins.
When does the preload start? The preload starts at different times, depending on your platform:
- PC (Battle.net): October 1st at 01:00 AM CEST
- PC (Steam): with the release on October 8th at 01:00 AM CEST
- Console (Xbox and PlayStation): October 6th at 01:00 AM CEST
How big is the download? We do not know the exact numbers yet, but the download could be around 25-50 GB. If you need to download the base game, you can expect a total of 120 GB – that is Diablo 4 plus Vessel of Hatred.
Update brings new features – also for the base game
What’s in the update: The update for Vessel of Hatred brings several new features and changes to the game. Many of them are available to all players who only own the base game of Diablo 4.
This includes changes to the level system and difficulty levels. Blizzard removes the often criticized world tiers and introduces 8 new tiers in Diablo 4, allowing you to determine the difficulty yourself. Monster levels are linked to this and will no longer be displayed.
Otherwise, you have access to in the base game:
- the new max level of 60
- revised items
- 2 new character slots
- new skills for all classes
- the group finder feature
- seasonal content and rewards
What will I get only in the expansion? To play the campaign, which continues in the expansion, you have to purchase a version of Vessel of Hatred. You will only be able to use the new class and the rune words if you do.
Generally, everything bound to the expansion takes place in the new area “Nahantu”, including mercenaries, whose quest you receive there, the co-op dungeon “Dark Citadel” and the undercity of Kurast.
