Uber Uniques are the most coveted items in Diablo 4, but these items are also incredibly rare. Aside from Duriel, it should be possible to obtain the items in other places, such as dungeons. However, a data miner found out that still only Duriel is worth it.
Uber Uniques are incredibly rare in Diablo 4, but also incredibly powerful. The Harlequin’s Crown, for example, is one of the best items in the game that almost every class can use. However, obtaining Uber Uniques is quite difficult.
With patch 1.3.2, the chance that Uber Uniques also drop outside of Über-Duriel has been increased. However, a data miner found out that the chance is still so low that farming outside of Duriel is not worth it.
The chance of receiving an Uber Unique from Über-Duriel is about 2%. Although that sounds quite low, when compared to the drop rate outside of the boss, it becomes clear that it is still more worthwhile.
As PCGamer summarizes, the chance for a Barbarian to receive a Harlequin’s Crown was about 1 in 10 million. After the current patch, the chance is now 1 in 7000. Although this sounds like a significant buff, the chance is currently still 0.01%. This calculation only applies to the Barbarian, as not every class can have every Uber Unique.
So despite the buff, Über-Duriel is still more worthwhile. The time one would need to invest to specifically farm an Uber Unique outside of Über-Duriel is simply not worth it. If one does not farm specifically, they might get lucky in dungeons, but whether that happens at 0.01% for regular players is questionable.
