In the Hawezar region in Diablo 4 you will find a side quest called ‘Traveler’s Superstition’. This guide includes location and solution.
How do I get the quest ‘Traveler’s Superstition’? To obtain the side quest, you must first interact with a note. Conveniently, it is located right where you need to continue the quest – specifically on the right side of the map in the Rotting Delta in the Hawezar region.
Therefore, it is not necessary to go to another location, such as with the quest ‘The Trail of the Pilgrim’.
Where can I find the note? To reach the note and simultaneously the quest location, you can either walk/ride south from the waypoint “The Whispering Tree” or to the north from the waypoint “Behind Pool”.
Once you have clicked on and read the note, you will be tasked with interacting with the statue of the traveler, which stands there near a shipwreck.

How do I solve the quest ‘Traveler’s Superstition‘? To complete the quest, you must perform an emote just like in the quest ‘Forsake the Mother’.
This time, you need to stand in front of the statue and perform the emote ‘Hello’. If you cannot find this emote in your emote wheel, you can learn how to adjust it further down.
Once you have performed the emote, a chest with loot will appear. By opening it, you complete the side quest.
How to use and switch emotes? Here are the buttons for mouse and keyboard as well as controller:
- Keyboard: Open the emote menu with ‘E’
- Use the mouse wheel to switch the emote tab
- Controller: Open the emote menu with ‘D-Pad up’
- Use L1/R1 or LB/RB to switch the emote tab
When you’re in the emote menu, press ‘Triangle’ or ‘Y’ on the controller or select ‘Customize’ with the mouse. In this menu, you can swap your emotes:
What are emotes for? With emotes, it is possible to communicate with other players in Diablo 4. Additionally, you can interact with various shrines to receive certain bonuses.
