Good morning, brave slicers! The release is still proceeding without major issues for many players. However, the PS5 version continues to have problems and is generating an error:
“No valid license” / Error 315306 on PlayStation:
- Developer statement from March 2023: “Unfortunately, it is a known issue caused by server problems on our end. There is unfortunately no solution you can implement as a player here. We can only ask for your patience until it is resolved.”
Meanwhile, there are several solution approaches for the license issue on PS5, which have been tried by several users. The launch otherwise is praised as the cleanest in Blizzard’s history, at least on PC.

The licenses on PlayStation are becoming a significant problem. Currently, it seems that you cannot even renew the licenses in your account because the PlayStation services are overloaded. However, the official status page for PSN shows no errors (via playstation.de). There is also no statement from Blizzard yet.

There are reports of problems on PlayStation. Players receive the message “no valid license”. Try to renew your licenses in the account settings. Unfortunately, there is no definitive solution to the problem, which has also occurred in previous tests.

At 01:00 AM, the Diablo 4 servers will open. It’s currently impossible to predict how the server situation will be at launch. The developers even held a free “server slam” to prepare for the launch.
However, we already expect certain problems at launch. I will keep an eye on the official channels should Blizzard issue a statement or known error codes become known.
