What kind of item is this? The Unique “Staff of Kepeleke” belongs to the Uniques of the Spiritborn. The Spiritborn, or Geistgeborene, was introduced with the Vessel of Hatred expansion in Diablo 4. What can the Staff of Kepeleke do? The Staff of Kepeleke has the effect of turning all your core skills into basic skills and alters their mechanics:
- Core skills can then be cast for free, but deal less damage depending on life force cost
- At maximum life force, core skills consume all life force and deal full damage
- They always hit critically, with the largest size that the skills can hit
- For every life force point spent this way, they deal increased critical hit damage
Additionally, the staff increases your critical hit damage, your maximum resource, the chance for core skills to hit twice, and grants you ranks in speed.

For various strong builds of the Spiritborn, the staff is the best choice, such as for the “Touch of Death” build, which is based on the core skill of the same name. The Stachlesalve build of the Spiritborn also uses the Staff of Kepeleke. The build is a strong choice for the endgame and utilizes the Stachlesalve as the core skill. This allows you to shoot your enemies with feathers that act like a shotgun at close range.
Combined with skills, aspects, and affixes that refill your resource, the staff ensures that you can spam your core skills and deal massive damage.

Where can I find the Staff of Kepeleke? Uniques like the Staff of Kepeleke can drop from various activities in the endgame of Diablo 4. Targeted farming is possible with bosses Duriel and Andariel, for which you need to unlock the new Torment levels and gather boss mats.
