In Diablo 4, you need a ton of resources for crafting and various recipes. With Season 6 and Vessel of Hatred, many players have started anew and noticed: some of the most essential resources are actually not that easy to obtain. Blizzard is responding.
What are these herbs?
- Herb bundles have been the summary of all herbs since Season 4, which you previously had to gather individually, such as Galgenrebe, Lebenshut, and co.
- Angel’s Breath is the only “rare” herb that still stands alone. You need both to upgrade healing potions or brew elixirs.
- There are some methods to farm herbs quickly, but especially while leveling, where you urgently need them, that doesn’t necessarily work well.
This is the hotfix: On October 9, Blizzard rolled out a hotfix to the servers (via Blizzard Forum). This increases the amount of herb bundles and Angel’s Breath you simply receive while leveling and in the campaign:
- Bosses in dungeons between levels 30 and 49 now drop 10 herb bundles and 2 Angel’s Breath.
- Campaign bosses between levels 50 and 60 drop 30 herb bundles and 7 Angel’s Breath.
- Elite enemies on Torment difficulties have a 10% chance to drop 4 herb bundles and a 2% chance to drop 4 Angel’s Breath.
Additionally, there are some bug fixes in the Citadel and the Undercity. However, the herbs are a crucial point that has been very well received by the community, as they previously caused horrible blockages.
“I’m level 50 and still haven’t unlocked any potions for level 40”
Just a few hours before the hotfix, the community discussed in a large thread on Reddit that Angel’s Breath had suddenly become so rare. That hadn’t been the case in previous seasons.
Previously, players had been discussing. Some felt that a slightly scarcer resource would make the game more charming. However, the majority of fans found it annoying.
Players still get stuck with level 50 at the end of the campaign with weaker potions, as it is simply impossible to farm the resources properly. However, users are not sure if this is an intentional nerf or an unintentional bug.
Accordingly, the hotfix is now well received (via Reddit). It would be nice if it were also easier to obtain leather and iron, observes one player. You need these resources to upgrade your equipment and they are already important while leveling.
We also noticed the scarcity while playing. However, all players need to complete the campaign of Vessel of Hatred first, which provides decent XP but only a little resources in the quests. In previous seasons, you could level up directly with Hellfloods and other activities, where significantly more loot is available. This season, there is a vendor: A vendor is now the best place for really good loot, an expert fears a nerf
