Here you can find one of the best builds for the Necromancer in Diablo 4 – with complete skills, important legendary aspects, and recommendations for your equipment.
What kind of build is this? Here you will find a Bonespear build for the Necromancer in Diablo 4, which operates completely without skeletons and golems.
I have already completed the campaign twice with the Necromancer and tried a lot. After many hours with the skeletons, I must say: Try a build with the ‘Bonespear’ as the core skill, the Necro can do more than just summons!
I have expanded my own Bonespear build from the leveling phase with parts of the Bonespear build from the site Maxroll.gg. For more details, check the English site (via maxroll.gg).
Note: The build is a base that you can further specialize. You can focus on it starting from level 50 and add more synergies for the debuff ‘Vulnerability’, your bone skills, critical hits, and your shadow damage. Here you can find a leveling guide for the Necro.

Diablo 4: Necromancer – Bonespear Build
How does the build work? You fully focus on the debuff ‘Vulnerability’ and scale as much as possible with the effect. You gain essence from ‘Corpse Explosion’ and the base skill ‘Bone Shard.’
With your ‘Bonespear’ together with ‘Shattering Aspect’, you spread ‘Vulnerability’ to everything in your line of sight and increase not only your damage but also the damage of the entire group. Here are the key points of the build:
- Bonespear and Vulnerability
- Shadow damage with Pest and Corpse Explosion
- Enemy control with Corpse Vines and Pest
- Safe escape with Blood Mist
- All minions are sacrificed for bonuses
‘Corpse Vines’ is arguably the strongest control effect in Diablo 4. With the legendary ‘Aspect of the Void,’ you have another skill that pulls enemies together: ‘Pest’ works similarly to a black hole, drawing everything hostile in.
If your screen is full of enemies, dozens of foes can be pulled into a small spot, and with ‘Corpse Explosion’ and Pest, you deal an unpleasant amount of DoT (Damage over Time).
Always make sure to make your enemies vulnerable with ‘Bonespear’ and not to deplete your essence too much – the more essence you have, the stronger you are.
For an extra dose of survivability, you have ‘Blood Mist.’ This skill makes you immune to everything and even removes negative effects. However, you are a bit slower and must use the skill thoughtfully. However, with it, you can withstand everything that Diablo 4 throws at you.
Bonespear Build – Aspects to Start
What do you need to start? To start with the build, you need 2 legendary aspects. One of them can be found in dungeons (looted aspects are always more powerful):
- Shattering Aspect – Skill Bonespear
- Dungeon: Guulrahn’s Misery (Dry Steppes)
- Aspect of the Void – Skill Pest
- Looting (strongest on amulets)
- On our interactive map, you can find the dungeons
By the way: If you are looking for a build with summons, check out the colleagues at GameStar (via gamestar.de / pay article).
