In Diablo 4 Renown is an important feature to strengthen your heroes even in Season 1. It is especially important to have discovered many things on the map to increase your reputation in the different areas. Therefore, we show you a map that reveals all side quests tied to dungeons.
Why is Renown and reputation important? In Diablo 4 there is a new system with which you can strengthen each of your heroes: Renown. This system rewards you with bonuses for existing and newly created heroes. These bonuses range from skill points to Paragon points, which you receive for free when you discover Sanctuary.
A player has now, shortly before the release of Season 1, looked at all the side quests and marked them on a map that leads you to a dungeon. This way, you can efficiently increase your Renown, as it will only be transferred to new heroes up to a certain point.

The Reddit user Tesdey has come up with a useful map for the community (via reddit.com). Renown is transferred to your remaining heroes up to a certain point – but not all progress. The last levels, which primarily hold points for the Paragon, must be unlocked again.
To achieve this optimally, Tesdey developed this map that shows all side quests that ultimately lead you to a dungeon:
Are side quests not saved for all heroes? No, every new hero, whether seasonal or in the endless realm, must go through the side quest hell again and complete them to be able to collect the full Renown bonuses.
In the comments to Tesdey’s map, many users are annoyed that the side quests must be played again to earn all the bonuses. Some quests are cool and exciting, while others are tedious and boring. Playing these again every season is very tedious. It remains to be seen whether Blizzard will listen to user opinions and possibly adjust the Renown system.
