A small side quest in the beta of Diablo 4 requires a special action from you. How to complete “Lifting the Spirits” is explained here on MeinMMO.
How do you complete the side quest? You receive the quest in the town of Kyovashad, and when you open your map, you will see a small, round target area for the task in the upper right corner of the town, right next to the “World Level Statue”.
You are to cheer up some soldiers standing by the training groups. Use the emote “Cheer”:
- PC: Open the emote menu with “E”
- Consoles: Open the emote menu with “D-Pad Up”
- Then switch to the “LEFT” menu and select “Cheer”
The soldiers feel better, your courage and strength flow through the fighters of the town. With this, you have completed the side quest and can collect your rewards – a bit of gold, a few experience points.

The beta of Diablo 4 allows many players to get a first look at the upcoming action RPG, which celebrates its release on June 6. Your progress in the beta will not be carried over, you will start a completely new game at release.
