Today marks the start of the early access beta for Diablo 4. Only pre-order customers are allowed to participate – or anyone who has a key. Luckily, our colleagues from GameStar still have keys left.
Where can I get a key? For the beta of Diablo 4, which starts today, March 17, you actually need to pre-order Diablo 4. Here you can find information about the different editions of Diablo 4.
However, you can also get keys in other ways. Our colleagues at GameStar are giving away keys for the beta of Diablo 4 to subscribers of GameStar Plus. You can choose whether you want to play on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, or Xbox Series X|S.
A subscription to GameStar Plus starts at €4.99 per month and saves you quite a bit of money compared to the pre-order. Keys are available as long as supplies last, and the supply is not yet exhausted. You can secure a key until 6:00 PM.
However, you should hurry if you want to play, because you also need to download the game and Diablo 4 can be quite large. You can also find information on how to redeem the keys at GameStar.
How long does the beta run? If you participate in the pre-order beta, you can play from March 17 at 5:00 PM to March 20 at 8:00 PM German time.
If you prefer to wait for the first opinions or do not want to pay, you can play the open beta from March 24 to 27, which is open to all interested parties. You can find all the information about the beta of Diablo 4 here.
We are covering the start of the beta in our live ticker. We have summarized the information about the beta of Diablo 4 in the video for you:
What is included in the beta of Diablo 4?
In the pre-order beta, you can play as the Hunter, the Sorceress, or the Barbarian. The level is limited to level 25, and you can fully explore the prologue and Act 1. A world boss will appear at specific times.
In addition, some dungeons will be available, with the latest gameplay leaving many fans doubtful. After level 25, you can still play as much as you want, you just won’t level up anymore.
If you are more interested in the Druid or the Necromancer, you can test these during the open beta weekend. The two classes will be available then.
By the way, Diablo 4 already emphasizes multiplayer and a shared world in the beta, where you can meet other players. The topic is extremely controversial, but I say the feature is a blessing for Diablo 4:
The most controversial feature of Diablo 4 is the best thing that could happen to the game
