Over the last few months, the developers of Diablo 4 have been steadily improving it with new features. However, one thing is still missing: skill loadouts. Now there is new information about the feature that is expected to arrive soon.
What kind of feature is this?
- Skill loadouts allow you to save combinations of skills and items and retrieve them easily.
- This makes it easier to play multiple skill setups on the same character if you want to try out different builds from the tier list.
- Even Diablo 3 had this feature with the armory, and players have been wishing for it in Diablo 4 since the 2023 beta. With the test of Vessel of Hatred, the call has been made again.
When will loadouts arrive? On X, a user asks community manager Adam Fletcher about the status of loadouts. Fletcher’s response: “In development.” This has resulted in many pleased reactions.
There is no specific date yet. However, the community manager’s response gives hope that you can expect loadouts soon. In a few weeks, the mid-season patch for Season 6 is coming, and shortly after that, Season 7. Both are potential timeframes.
Only with Vessel of Hatred or Season 6 did Blizzard fulfill a major fan demand with the group finder, which has also fueled the discussion about loadouts.
Respeccing is already easier and cheaper, but loadouts are still missing
You have always been able to change your skills freely in Diablo 4, but you had to pay increasing gold costs for that. The idea was initially well received because it forces players to focus more on their character and build.
One player eventually tried out how expensive it really gets and came to over 8 million gold for a full reset. Along with other costs such as enchanting, which used to be significantly more expensive, players quickly became poor.
The gold costs for most content in the game have been drastically reduced since release. Respeccing is now significantly cheaper, and you can more accurately and affordably redistribute skill points through the new respec mode.
Nevertheless, loadouts are still high on the fans’ wish list, not least because there are many interesting builds that players would like to try out—but don’t do so because respeccing is tedious. But the fact that Blizzard is listening has been acknowledged by the community: “Blizzard is really doing it” – Players argue whether the new class needs a nerf, caution against careless wishes
