There are many dungeons in Diablo 4, but not all of them are easy to access. You will learn where to find the dungeon “Flooded Depths” here.
In Diablo 4, there are dungeons that are hidden behind strongholds and therefore do not initially appear on your map. You may notice this when you want to activate nightmare dungeons through their seals, and the message “You do not have access yet” appears.
One of them is the dungeon “Flooded Depths”. We summarize which stronghold you need to complete and how to find the dungeon afterward.
By conquering strongholds, you collect XP – so don’t forget to activate an elixir. With a quest, you can even use two elixirs and stack the bonuses.
How to find the Flooded Depths
Where can I find the Flooded Depths? The dungeon “Flooded Depths” is located in the far north in the area “Scosglen”, north of Cerrigar. You reach the area by walking/riding north from the waypoint “Marowen”.
In the area, you will find the corresponding stronghold “Glimmer of Hope”, which you must occupy. Once you have conquered the stronghold, the dungeon “Flooded Depths” will appear in the area.
How do I conquer the stronghold? Glimmer of Hope is located with its lighthouse on the coast of Scosglen. When you enter the area, your character wonders why the lighthouse’s beacon is not lit. You will encounter some tide changers and deckhands there.
To find a way into the lighthouse, you first need to activate the winches and, because one of them is broken, search for a missing part. Inside the lighthouse, you will face the tide witch Ne’Gana. Once you have defeated her, continue up and activate the flame of the Glimmer of Hope. Then, activate the “Shrine of the Wanderer” to conquer the stronghold.
What is the benefit of all this? Strongholds are reset with each season, meaning you can conquer them repeatedly. By conquering a stronghold, you often gain new waypoints that you can fast travel to and also receive 100 renown points towards your regional progress.
In general, it is worth completing the regional progress because: you receive important bonuses for every new character (in the same mode). Dungeons also earn you renown points. Additionally, you level up your glyphs in the nightmare versions of the dungeons, which provide you with certain bonuses. Here you can learn how to farm and level glyphs most effectively.
