Players love secrets. And one of the most sought-after secrets in Diablo 4 is the Cow Level, which, if it exists, has not yet been found. In an interview, Tiffany Wat and Joe Piepiora commented on the possible level and even provided hints.
What is the Cow Level?
- Since Diablo 2, the Cow Level has been a secret place accessible through a secret quest
- There was also such a level in Diablo 3 and even later in World of Warcraft
- The community must figure out together how to reach the level
- There, you fight against evil armed cows, which were quite popular farming spots
- Officially, Blizzard always says, as does Rod Fergusson about Diablo 4, that there is no Cow Level
Since the release of Diablo 4, players have been trying to figure out how to reach the Cow Level. In an interview with IGN at BlizzCon 2023, Production Director Tiffany Wat and Associate Game Director Joe Piepora commented on the secret Cow Level.
IGN asked the two Diablo developers about the famous Cow Level. Wat only says: Sounds completely ridiculous
and denies the existence of the level. While Wat and Piepiora then joke about the absurd situation of players killing a huge number of defenseless cows, Wat still gives a hint about the secret level.
I mean, Sanctuary is not a good place, not even as a cow. But I want to say, if people have taken any items from their cow campaign… cow-slaughtering campaign… they should keep them.
That sounds like a clear hint that the Cow Level exists and the Diablo 4 community is on the right track to find the famous level.
The items being discussed here refer to artifacts and a potion that you receive when you kill a certain number of cows and use the obtained items at certain points.
