What are the best classes? Based on the ranking of Diablo 3, it can be determined which classes are currently progressing the furthest in the Greater Nephalem Rifts. In solo play, there is a class focused on intelligence at the top. There was a tight race at the top between Wizard and Necromancer throughout the season. Who is leading now, just before the end of Season 17?

The data used comes from the official seasonal ranking in Diablo 3. We are looking at the normal mode, not Hardcore. The status is from August 6 at 1:30 PM. The time taken to reach the respective level in the Greater Nephalem Rift was measured.
Solo: The Wizard is currently leading the list again. Throughout Season 17, it was a close race with the Necromancer.

- Level 140: Necromancer – 13 minutes, 9 seconds
- Level 135: Demon Hunter – 13 minutes 23 seconds
- Level 134: Witch Doctor – 14 minutes 20 seconds
- Level 133: Crusader – 13 minutes 39 seconds
- Level 130: Monk – 12 minutes 38 seconds
- Level 128: Barbarian – 13 minutes 55 seconds
Duo: The Wizard class leads the solo list and is also in demand in Duo.
- Level 146: Barbarian, Necromancer – 12 minutes 46 seconds
- Level 145: Wizard, Wizard – 14 minutes 3 seconds
- Level 145: Barbarian, Wizard – 14 minutes 10 seconds
Trio: Here, a combination of Necro, Wiz, and Barb is especially popular. Many people rely on this combination of classes in the Trios.
- Level 150: Necromancer, Wizard, Barbarian – 9 minutes 28 seconds
- Level 150: Necromancer, Wizard, Barbarian – 10 minutes 3 seconds
- Level 150: Necromancer, Wizard, Barbarian – 11 minutes 32 seconds
Quad: In the 4-player teams, the Monk makes it back into the top areas of the rankings.

What developments have there been in the ranking of Season 17?
On MeinMMO, we have reported on the current ranking at the start of Season 17, in the middle of Season 17 and now at the end of Season 17. How have the classes changed there? The articles were published on May 20 (3 days after the season started), on June 28, and now on August 6.

Duo: In the duo ranking, the combo of Monk and Wizard was at the top at the beginning, mid-season it was Necromancer and Barbarian, which has held up until the end of the season.
Trio: At the beginning, a combo of Wizard, Demon Hunter, and Monk was in demand for Trio. In the middle, it was Monk, Necromancer, Wizard, and now towards the end it is Necromancer, Wizard, Barbarian.
Quad: In the four-player combos, Barbarian, Monk, Necromancer, and Wizard were in demand at the start of the season. This class combination has not changed significantly until the end of the season.
It is quite possible that small improvements in the ranking will be noticeable in the last days of the season. However, significant changes in the class rankings are not expected, as after almost 3 months most players have reached the gear they wanted.
