On Friday, the fifth season of Blizzard’s hack and slash “Diablo 3” will come to an end – But how and when will it continue? When does Season 6 start?
If this is your first season playing Diablo, you probably have a few questions in mind about what will happen to your character and your items. What will be deleted and what will be kept? Let’s take a look at this in a small overview:

What happens at the end of the Diablo 3 season?
Season 5 ends on Friday, April 15, at 5:00 PM our time.
Heroes: Your seasonal characters will be converted to normal (non-seasonal) characters – Hardcore remains Hardcore, Normal remains Normal.
Gold: All the gold you have on your seasonal characters will be transferred to the normal characters.
Paragon: The accumulated paragon experience will be added to your paragon on the normal characters (So not each level, but the experience points). So if you are at paragon level 400 on the normal characters and have earned paragon level 300 on your seasonal character, you will have less than paragon level 700 after the season ends since higher levels require more experience points.
Blood Shards: Similar to gold, all available blood shards will be transferred to the normal characters. If you reach the cap there, they will still be added and the limit will be temporarily ignored.
Items: All items that your seasonal characters currently have equipped will remain equipped. Items from your stash will be sent via in-game mail to the normal characters. You can collect them within 30 days.
Crafting: Higher levels of craftsmen and learned recipes that normal craftsmen do not yet master will be transferred.
Treasure Chest: Unlocked slots or tabs will be transferred to the normal characters.
Achievements: If you achieved any achievements during Season 5, these were also transferred to the normal characters at that moment.
Kanais Cube: All unlocked legendary attributes will be transferred to the non-seasonal characters.
Seasonal Rewards: You will receive an exclusive transmog for legs and feet for reaching level 70 during Season 5. If multiple chapters of the season journey were completed, there are also portrait frames and an exclusive pet.
When does Season 6 start in Diablo 3?
To quickly get started with Season 6, you should restock your supply of energy drinks and frozen food by Friday, April 29, 2016. Season 6 starts at 5 PM our time.
From that day, you will have approximately 3 months to work your way up in the leaderboard. But don’t play unfair, otherwise you might still get banned in the livestream.
