It is held under the special theme “Season of Splendor” and passively rewards all players with the bonus of the Ring of Splendor. This means you need one less set piece for a corresponding bonus. (at least two set pieces required)

Then Season 16 ends: Normally, a season in Diablo 3 lasts about 3 months. The provisional end date for Season 16 is May 12, 2019, at 5:00 PM German time.
Usually, Blizzard announces the end of a season only about 2 weeks in advance. However, the community provided a lot of feedback in this area and wanted to see plans revealed ahead of time.
The date has already been moved: Originally, Season 16 was supposed to end on March 17 at 5 PM. But Blizzard extended the season by almost 2 months until May 12.
When does Season 17 start? After the end of a season, there is typically a break of a few weeks in Diablo 3. So, Season 17 is expected to start in June or July.
What happens at the end of a season? Then all your seasonal characters are converted into non-seasonal characters. Paragon experience, gold, recipes, and items you earned will then carry over to non-season. You’ll receive your equipment through a letter, which you can redeem and loot at any time.
What changed in Season 16? A major balance patch adjusted many sets and armors. This leads to a more balanced distribution of classes in the rankings.
