Higher torment levels add more bite when slaying monsters in Diablo 3.
Currently, on the test servers for Diablo 3, the new torment levels are being tested, which are set to be playable on the official servers with Patch 2.4.2. Just last month, we reported on a data leak that hinted at additional torment levels for Diablo 3. With Patch 2.4.2, alongside the higher difficulty, there will also be changes to drop rates.
Torment 11 to Torment 13 and better loot chances in Diablo 3
With Patch 2.4.2, you can increase the difficulty even further than before, as previously the highest (selectable) difficulty level in Diablo 3 was “Torment 10” – in the future, it will go up to Torment 13.
They have also taken care of the adventure mode: At Torment 1, you have a 50% chance that an infernal machine will drop – a chance of 100% already exists in Torment 4. If you play at a higher torment level, the chance that a second infernal machine will drop increases.
The drop chance for greater portal keys has also been adjusted. Greater portal keys now drop guaranteed in every Nephalem portal – if you play on a higher difficulty and complete a Nephalem portal, you have the chance for a second or even third key for a greater portal!
Changes also in the user interface
For better visibility, there are now special symbols for additional events on the mini-map. If you find a pylon in a Nephalem portal or if you come across the popular Menagerie Goblin, you will now be notified of this on your mini-map. With pylons, you can even see on the mini-map what type of pylon it is. For nice screenshots, a hotkey has also been added to hide your user interface.
