In the hack’n slash Diablo 3, a new patch is coming. It is now live on the test server, and the patch notes reveal: Update 2.6.6 brings a lot of changes. New item properties and even new items are coming. Season 18 of Diablo 3 will be themed around the “Circle” and buffs players at all strength levels.
What kind of patch is this? The update 2.6.6 for Diablo 3 is now on the PTR and can be tested. Blizzard has already published the patch notes for 2.6.6.
Buff Circles coming with Season 18 to Diablo 3
This will be the new gimmick for Season 18: When Season 18 begins, a new enhancement effect will be active. Because it will be the season of “Trinity.”
All skills have a chance to create a strengthening circle. Only one circle can be active at a time:
- In the Circle of Power, players deal 100% more damage (it is magenta-colored)
- In a second circle, resource costs are reduced by 50% (green)
- And in the third circle, the cooldown of skills that are currently on cooldown is reduced (blue)
The circle is supposed to be immediately available at level 1 and provide everyone with more power, while previous season buffs targeted players in endgame.
Additionally, the buff will probably drive players in circles.
Diablo 3 brings back Barb item that Blizzard found too powerful
These items are new: The item “Mortick’s Brace” is back in Diablo 3 and therefore new. With this item, Wrath of the Berserker gains the effect of every rune.
It is said by Blizzard: Originally, the item was removed from the game because it was too powerful – but now it is okay. Because Diablo 3 has received a power boost.
Gem as a substitute for “Set without Set”, LoN
This is the new gem: The new gemstone “Legacy of Dreams” is interesting for players who do not have active set bonuses.
The stone increases the damage of each equipped legendary item by 3.5% and reduces damage taken by 25%: If the gem is at rank 25, the bonus for ancient items is doubled.
According to a player on reddit the gem does not stack with “Legacy of Nightmare”, but is said to be as strong as the set at level 25. So it frees up new item slots.
The LoN set “Legacy of Nightmares” is considered the set to choose if you do not want to wear sets, as it enhances the properties of ancient items.
6 items with new properties in Diablo 3
These items have new properties:
- The amulet “Perfume of Time” ensures that the effects of pylons last twice as long.
- With the item “The Executioner”, the bearer immediately executes his enemies when they have less than 5-10% of their health.
- If he wears “Stone Gauntlets”, the player slowly turns to stone when attacked. The armor increases by 50%, while movement speed decreases by 15% and attack speed by 20% – the effect is stackable 5 times.
- The item “Crumb’s Necklace” in Diablo 3 increases your dealt damage by 100% and your taken damage by 50%, as long as you do not take damage.
- “Master Smith’s Marauder” reduces the cooldown of skills by 1 second when you kill an enemy.
- The item “Malicious” gives colossi that do not have splits the splits and cold damage of the rune Gigantoid.
Additionally, Diablo 3 changes 4 sets:
- Journey of the Wise
- Captain Crimson’s Wardrobe
- Aughild’s Might
- and Cain’s Destiny
Those who want the new version of the sets must get a new recipe – the old items will not be updated.
