This week, Season 15 Diablo 3 starts with the season theme Boon of the Horadrim. This gives you more little cubes.
When does it start? On September 21 at 5:00 PM, Season 15 in Diablo 3 begins. Players on PS4 and Xbox One start at 2:00 AM German time. Whether this season will coincide with the release of the Switch version of Diablo 3 or start with Season 16 is unclear.
What’s new? Season 15 has a new season theme that gives you more Horadric little cubes. For you, this means: Double cubes and double crafting mats in the same timeframe.
Season 15 – Theme “Boon of the Horadrim”
Since Season 14, Diablo 3 has been trying special season themes. These are meant to bring more variety to a season and motivate players to play more.
What bonuses does the season theme give? In Season 15, you will receive double the Horadric little cubes from bounties. So if you complete 5 bounties, you will get 2 Horadric little cubes instead of just one.
How good are the contents of the extra cubes? The additional little cube is subject to the same difficulty level as the actual little cube. It works just like it would if you had completed twice as many bounties.
What’s in the cubes? The little cubes contain random specific equipment parts like the popular Ring of Royal Grandeur or crafting materials like the Holy Water from Westmarch. The contents vary depending on the act in which you completed the bounties for the cube.
Haedrig’s Gift in Season 15 for Diablo 3
In every season, you will be rewarded with gifts for completing stages of the seasonal journey. Haedrig’s gifts help you assemble a complete set. Which sets are available for the respective classes changes in each season. The following class sets are given as gifts in Season 15:
- Barbarian: Wrath of the Wastes
- Demon Hunter: Unholy Essence
- Witch Doctor: Helltooth Harness
- Crusader: Roland’s Legacy
- Monk: Raiment of a Thousand Storms
- Necromancer: Rathma’s Bones
- Wizard: Tal Rasha’s Elements
For which stages are there gifts? For completing stages 2, 3, and 4, you will receive Haedrig’s gifts. There is a maximum of one complete set gifted.
For which class do I get my gift? You will receive the gifts via in-game mail. On consoles, you redeem the gifts on the seasonal journey screen. The set content matches the character that opens the gift. Thus, you either receive a complete set for one character or distribute the set items across multiple classes.
Challenges and Cosmetic Rewards in Season 15
As you progress through your seasonal journey, you unlock cosmetic rewards:
- The chest armor and gloves of the exclusive Conqueror set
- Portraits that thematically match the “Eternal Conflict”
- The “helping hand” Belphegor as a pet
Achievements in Season 15:
- Sprinter/Speed Demon: Complete the entire Diablo 3 campaign from Act 1 to Act 4 in less than 1 hour
- Greed/Gold Rush: Collect 50 million gold outside the Realm of Treasure or a central vault
- Boss Mode/Class of Its Own: Kill all bosses in Diablo 3 on Torment X within 20 minutes
- Otherwise, it would be too easy/Superhuman: Complete a Greater Nephalem Rift level 45 alone without wearing set items
- Master of All Classes/Game, Set, Match: Complete 8 different set rifts on master rank
When does Season 15 end in Diablo 3?
So far, Blizzard expects that Season 15 will end on Sunday, December 16, 2018. In Germany, that would be at 5:00 PM, as with the start.
Possibly sooner or later: The date is not yet 100% confirmed. Blizzard wants to report on the season preview about when it ends. They are trying to stick to the specified dates. However, it is possible that the end date for Season 15 may change.
