In the tier list for Season 24 in Diablo 3, we show you the best classes, builds, and equipment. Balance changes from patch 2.7.1 are also taken into account.
What’s happening in Diablo 3? Today, on July 23, Season 24 starts in Diablo 3. The new season runs with patch 2.7.1, which brings the ethereal weapons into play. Anyone starting with Season 24 begins at “zero” with their character and then tries to quickly reach level 70.
In this tier list, we want to show you which classes and builds have the greatest potential in S24 and which class is the best with it.
What makes Season 24 special? The new season theme “Ethereal Memory” brings back the ethereal weapons you know from Diablo 2. A total of 21 beloved weapons return – 3 for each class. In Season 24, the ethereal weapons are powerful and rare.
Who creates the tier list? We use the tier list from Maxroll.gg as a basis. The website develops this tier list with extensive testing and mathematics. The team behind it includes Rob, Wudijo, Northwar, Facefoot, Raxxanterax, and Chewignom. Major Diablo streamers now use the website maxroll.gg to share their builds. It has even been available in German since April 1.
We embed the tier list here in the article as an image. Here and on the following pages of the article, we will present the top 3 builds for each class and a link to the build (in German) accordingly. This way, you can easily recreate the builds and slice through Season 24.
What do the “S” to “F” classifications mean? The list is sorted from “S” at the top to “F” at the bottom. In the S-tier, you will find the builds with the highest potential in Season 24. The potential of the builds below is lower.
This should only serve as a rough guide for you. Ultimately, the potential still depends significantly on how many Paragon points you farm. If you invest enough time in the game, any class and any build can be strong.
Important: With any of the listed builds on the tier list, you can clear level 70 in the greater rifts. You need this milestone to unlock ancient items. They are among the strongest items in Diablo 3.

If the abbreviations LoN and LoD appear in the builds, these are abbreviations for the legacy bonuses. You get these through a gem or a set of rings.

The 3 best builds of the Barbarian in Season 24
- S-Tier: Whirlwind with Wrath of the Wastes (via maxroll.gg): The WW-Barb has been a hot candidate for records on the leaderboards for several seasons. The set works by applying Bleed to enemies while performing Whirlwind (thanks to the Pride of the Ancients). As a WW-Barbarian, you move quickly and deal a lot of damage. This build falls into the “Easy to learn, hard to master” category.
- A-Tier: Frenzy with the Horde of the Ninety Savages (via maxroll.gg): With this build, you joyfully spam the “Frenzy” ability and easily slice through enemies, thanks to the set bonus. Even as a Z-Barb, you can play this build with high single target damage. However, you don’t have much area damage included.
- A-Tier: Earthquake with the Power of the Earth (via maxroll.gg): If you have never played the Leapquake-Barb and are looking for some variety in your Barbarian, you should try this build. You leap through the enemy lines and spread AoE dots. The playstyle is unique and might hit your nerve.
- B-Tier: Starter Set Call of the Immortal King with HotA (via maxroll.gg) – The starter set for the Barbarian from Season 24 performs only in the B-Tier. With this build, you don’t have much variety in gameplay but can take a lot of damage. The damage dealt is quite low compared to other builds.
