In this tier list, you will find the best classes, builds, and gear of Season 18 of Diablo 3. In this season, you can also benefit from changes to the Legacy of Nightmares set.
Season 18 in Diablo 3 starts – what does that mean? All your previous seasonal characters will be converted to non-seasonal characters. Your collected Paragon points will be added to the main account.
This means that you start from “zero” at the beginning of each season. You can create a new character and must complete all levels anew as well as rise through the Paragon ranks again.
In addition, there are again new rewards from Haedrig’s Seasonal Journey, such as a complete set, a new portrait frame, and more.
Therefore, it is all the more important that you level up quickly, as the real endgame begins only at level 70.
What’s new in Season 18? In addition to the new rewards from Haedrig’s Seasonal Journey, there is another change to the previous season: The ring set Legacy of Nightmares provided you with exorbitant bonuses as long as you did not wear set items. In the new Season 18, just a single gem is enough to achieve this effect.
This has the advantage that you can freely choose your rings as long as you have the gem “Legacy of Dreams” socketed. This potentially opens up new ways to become even stronger and achieve higher levels of Greater Nephalem Rifts.
In the following tier list, you will often find the abbreviation “LoN”, which stands for Legacy of Nightmares. As you can see, the respective builds then build on this bonus.
Who actually creates this tier list? Diablo expert Rhykker (Rhykkers YouTube Channel) is now a living legend among Diablo players and has been providing the community with current builds and analyses for each season in Diablo 3 for many years. The basis for creating this list are extensive tests on the PTR of Diablo 3 and theory crafting.
What do the individual tiers of the tier list mean? The “tiers” represent gradations of the best classes and their respective builds. Combinations in Tier S are considered the best in the entire game, while builds in Tier F are regarded as weaker.
Weaker, however, does not mean bad in this case. The differences between the tiers have tended to decrease in the past seasons. Therefore, this tier list does not represent the absolute truth, but rather gives a rough direction of which setup can successfully compete at the top of the leaderboards.
In any case, you can easily reach Nephalem Rift level 70 with all the builds presented here, which gives you the opportunity to find ancient, and thus the most powerful, items.
What can I expect now? On this page and the following ones, we present the three potentially best builds for each class in Season 18. A click on the name of the build takes you directly to the page d3planner.com, where you can view the chosen gear, weapons, skills, and socketed gems. Afterwards, it’s just: Rebuild!
By the way: If you find the top three builds too boring, you can view the entire range of builds considered on the last page. Inspiration is therefore guaranteed!
The 3 Best Builds of the Witch Doctor in Season 18
The Witch Doctor made a tremendous leap to the front in the last season and can maintain its positions in the current season as well. All three best builds land in the top categories.
- LoN DoD (Tier S) – The combination from Season 17 makes a leap into the Tier S and lands in overall 4th place. Make sure you equip as many ancient items as possible to benefit from the “Legacy of Dreams” bonus.
- Zuni DoD (Tier A) – For this build, you need the Zunimassa set, which you conveniently also receive as a reward for Haedrig’s Seasonal Journey. With the set, you have the fifth-best build of Season 18.
- Jade Witch Doctor (Tier A) – The Jade Doc has no chance against the LoN combinations but manages to rank in Tier A just like in the previous season.
On the next page, you will learn everything about the three best builds of the Demon Hunter.
