The official start date for Season 12 in Diablo 3 is now set. When will Blizzard let the games begin?
While the current eleventh season in Diablo 3 is active, the developers are already announcing the end date for the season. At the same time, they announce that it will continue with fresh monster mayhem in November.
At the start of a new season, masses of Diablo 3 players flock to the game, as there are new rewards to be earned. We will show you when it starts.
Diablo 3 Season 11 End, Season 12 Start Date
You have only a few days left until the end of Season 11 in Diablo 3. On Friday, October 20, the leaderboards will close at 5:00 PM German time. By then, you should have achieved all the goals and challenges you set for S11.
After that, there will be a break of about three weeks during which no season in Diablo 3 is active. In this interval, the developers will have enough time to send the Patch 2.6.1 to the live servers and improve it further with player feedback.
S12 Start: In November, the fun continues: The start of Season 12 in Diablo 3 is on Thursday, November 9, at 5:00 PM German time. The developers have consciously decided against a Friday as the start day to allow enough time to address any issues before the weekend.

What Happens at the End of a Diablo 3 Season?
Once a season in Diablo 3 ends, seasonal characters are converted to non-seasonal characters. Items such as gold or gear are carried over and are then available on the non-seasonal characters.
- All gold from the season will be transferred to the non-seasonal characters
- The amount of Paragon experience points will be carried over and credited to non-seasonal characters. (Not each level, but the experience points)
- Blood shards will be transferred like gold.
- Items from the stash will arrive via mail to the non-seasonal characters
- Items that characters are wearing remain equipped when the character is converted.
- Crafters’ recipes and levels
- All recipes that your seasonal crafters have learned will be added to the non-seasonal crafters.
- If the seasonal crafters have a higher level than the non-seasonal crafters, the higher level will be activated.
- Legendary powers from Kanai’s Cube will be transferred to non-season.
- At the start of a new season, you must start over with Kanai’s Cube for seasonal characters.
- Transmogrifications will be transferred to non-seasonal characters.
