A necromancer in Diablo 3 includes skeleton mages and many pets. We present to you a special necromancer build for Diablo 3: the blood pet build.
Even though the Inarius build for the necromancer is currently unmatched, there are certainly interesting possibilities with the other sets. We present to you the blood pet build of the necromancer. We will show you which equipment you need and how it has to be played to master Greater Rift levels up to 95.
The build was conceived by the user Wreckanoth on diablofans.com. The core of the build is the use of the skeleton mages with the Life Transfer rune and the curse Alteration.

Equipment for the Blood Pet Build – Trag’Oul’s Avatar
The build relies on all six pieces of Trag’Oul’s Avatar, as well as the set of Jesseth’s Scepter and Shield. Additionally, you need the set consisting of Sworn of the Adventurer and the Windrose.
As a belt, you use Dayntee’s Binding, and the second ring is either Krysbins Judgement or Circle of Nailuj, depending on what you have selected with Kanai’s Cube. For bracers, you use the Wraps of the Soul Reaper.
Legendary Gems
As for legendary gems, The Griever of the Captives and The Executor come into play. If you want to increase your damage output at range, Zeis Stone of Vengeance is your choice for the third legendary gem; if you want to focus more on toughness, play with Esoteric Alteration.
Kanai’s Cube
The weapon slot is taken by the Sickle of the Cycle, as it further increases the damage of the skeleton mages. In the armor slot, you choose Tasker and Theo, which increases the attack speed of your pets. In the ring slot, you choose Krysbins Judgement or Circle of Nailuj, depending on which ring is actively worn.
How to play the build
When you encounter enemies, use Alteration on as many foes as possible. They will be slowed by 70% and their damage reduced by 30%. Additionally, you will receive another 50% damage reduction from Dayntee’s Binding as well as 100% bonus damage from Krysbins Judgement.
Now, use Bone Armor (aim for directly 10 stacks) to achieve another 30% damage reduction as well as the 300% damage bonus for your skeleton mages (through the Sickle of the Cycle).
Now you summon skeleton mages. With the ring Circle of Nailuj, 2 skeleton mages appear with each activation. Due to the life loss from the Life Transfer rune and the set bonus from Trag’Oul’s Avatar, your skeleton mages receive a hefty 3300 bonus damage.
Once you have killed some enemies, you can consume the corpses with Devour to regenerate life and essence. Through your passive ability, you also generate healing orbs, and when you have maximum life, you can double your health through the set bonus of Trag’Oul’s Avatar.
