In Diablo 3, two legendary items unlock new paths through the Horadric Cube’s secret recipes.
Previously, there was the legendary path to the cow level in Diablo when you placed Wirt’s leg and a town portal in the Horadric Cube and clicked transmute.
With patch 2.3.0, the Horadric Cube essentially returns as Kanai’s Cube. And Blizzard has indeed included two new “secret” recipes that players should know about.
For this, two specific legendary items are needed, which are often underestimated. Place them in the Horadric Cube – without any other items – and press transmute.
- One is the Maelstrom Ring. If you place it in Kanai’s Cube and press transmute, it opens a portal to the Realm of Greed. As if you had gone through the portal that treasure goblins rarely leave behind. It should be an excellent way to acquire gold and items.
- And it is the Cow Baroque. With it, you go “via Kanai’s Cube” directly into the “This is not a cow level” rift. This thing is considered an ideal spot to grab some serious exp.
So do not dismantle these two items, but save them in every case.
