In just a few days, there will be special events in the various titles from Blizzard. The reason for this is Diablo’s 20th birthday, which will be celebrated on December 31. For this special occasion, Blizzard will spread the birthday celebration across Diablo 3, Heroes of the Storm, Hearthstone, Overwatch, StarCraft 2, and World of Warcraft. This is how you celebrate in Diablo 3
In Diablo 3, you will experience the memorial event “Darkness in Tristram.” There, you will be transported back to the original Diablo and find yourself in a replica of the famous cathedral. Some items you find there may look familiar to you.
Heroes of the Storm gets a new map
Alongside a new Diablo-style portrait, players in HotS will receive another bonus. A new, wild map for the Hero Chaos awaits you.
Hearthstone with special Brawl
In Blizzard’s card game, you meet a hooded stranger who plays a merciless deck. Can you uncover the secrets of the Dark Wanderer?
Overwatch gets sprays and icons
In Overwatch, although you won’t get the Diablo heroes as playable characters, you will receive sprays of your favorite classes from Diablo 3. Additionally, there will be new player icons based on the Lord of Terror.
StarCraft 2 – New worker style
Your workers will undergo a visual transformation. During the birthday, the worker portraits will take on Diablo style.
World of Warcraft with mysterious message
How to celebrate Diablo’s birthday in WoW is still not entirely clear. In the Battle.net blog, the developers wrote: “Strange things are casting their shadows in the world of Azeroth as the inhabitants of Sanctuary enter a world unfamiliar to them.” Will there even be an in-game event?
