The developers of Corepunk are taking an unusual step and stopping the pre-orders for the new MMORPG that is set to start Early Access in November.
So, can I not pre-order Corepunk at the moment? Exactly! On the official website of the MMORPG, the developers announced this week that they have now received “enough pre-orders” to test the currently ongoing Alpha 4 on a large scale (via corepunk.com).
Whether the resale of Corepunk will only be possible from the Early Access start on November 26, 2024, or a few days earlier, the developers do not know at this time. In either case, the bonuses and skins from the pre-order packages will no longer be available.

What are the developers planning? The team behind Corepunk was very concerned after the technical and gameplay issues of the previous alpha phases that the servers would remain empty during the Alpha 4 test. The relief is now even greater that so many players are still interested in the MMORPG.
The interest in the project has exceeded all our expectations. We are receiving a lot of positive feedback about the game concept and its uniqueness. It was also a great pleasure to see that the game is able to maintain a stable online presence, even in an absurd situation where the servers crashed hourly for a week. Having a stable player base and the opportunity to continue testing and improving the game is a rare opportunity for us.

The developers admit that they made “above-average number of mistakes” during earlier tests and at the launch of Alpha 4, and it would be foolish to deny or ignore that.
The goal now is to “fix everything that can be fixed, package the content we have created over the years into a logical, engaging gameplay, and consider your feedback and experiences in the game while realizing our vision.” The current Alpha 4 test is set to continue.
What kind of game is Corepunk? Corepunk is a “top-down MMORPG” with an open world. Visually and in terms of controls, it resembles League of Legends.
