The developers of Path of Exile 2 have made another major change to the ARPG at short notice. They are once again changing how trading works in the game. This time, however, with a new in-game feature.
How will trading in Path of Exile 2 change? Until now, it was known that the developers of Path of Exile 2 wanted to transition trading in their game from personal player-to-player trading to a marketplace system that also allows trading with players who are offline.
To achieve this, the developers wanted to introduce a special NPC where players can offer items at a fixed price and trade without further effort – even offline. However, players should still access the trading website for shopping. It should teleport directly to the sellers’ NPCs with a new feature and resolve asynchronous trading.

Trading without a website
What is the big announcement? The developers announced in a new video on YouTube that an in-game marketplace will also be added. Game Director Jonathan Rogers explained in the video that they previously thought the feature would not be ready in time for the release of “The Third Edict,” but the developers managed to do it in time.
With the new season, players will no longer need to rely on the trading website for asynchronous trading. In the video, the head of PoE2 explained that they have included “almost all features of the website” in the new “marketplace.” While he did not specify which ones are still missing, the most important filters are already visible.
How are players reacting to the change? While asynchronous trading was already a significant change for the game, players are even more pleased that the annoying necessity of using the Path of Exile 2 trading website will soon be just a relic of the past.

The developers of Path of Exile 2 have big plans for the new season, “The Third Edict.” Even without a new class, the game is being expanded in many ways, and long-awaited changes, like in this example, are brightening the mood among fans.
