- Xur: This weekend, Xur has it available. You can buy it directly from the Agent of the Nine.
What Makes Zhalo Supercell Special in Destiny
The Zhalo Supercell is the only relevant primary weapon with Arc damage, making it “essential.” For this reason alone, it belongs in every Guardian’s inventory: to have a powerful weapon at hand when Arc Conductor is active.
The weapon has a power of 8 and a rate of fire of 88. The stats are not impressive:
But the perks are what really makes it exciting:
- Zhalo Supercell: Arc projectiles have a chance to chain lightning when enemies are close together.
- Persistence: This weapon becomes more accurate the longer it is fired.
- Out of Nowhere: Double kills recharge a bit of Super energy and return ammo to the magazine.
These three perks and the Arc damage make the Zhalo Supercell so powerful. In PvE, you’ll mow down hordes of enemies.
Additionally, you can choose between:
- Reinforced Frame: Increased stability, reduced magazine size.
- Hammer Forged: Improved range and accuracy.
- Rifled Barrel: Increased range, slower reload speed.
With Stability Assist, Close Range Ballistics, and Aggressive Ballistics, you can influence recoil, range, and impact force.
Is Zhalo Supercell Still Worth It in Year 3?
The answer to this question is: Absolutely! If you don’t have it yet, you can safely buy it from Xur. When sidearms and Arc Conductor are active in the Nightfall strike, there is no way around the Zhalo Supercell.
It is purely a PvE weapon and shines especially when you are facing many enemies. You can ruthlessly fry them with crackling lightning. This also leads to double kills, benefiting your Super as well.
However: When fighting a PvE boss alone, most advantages of the Zhalo no longer apply. There are better alternatives in PvP. Nevertheless, the conclusion is: The Zhalo Supercell belongs in every Guardian’s inventory! If you enjoy PvE content, it is a must.
Since “Rise of Iron,” it has received two ornaments that allow you to change its look.
