The April update for Destiny is just around the corner. Many Guardians have been looking forward to the new content for weeks. Especially Playstation owners can look forward to new toys in the Destiny universe.
These are the Playstation-exclusive contents of the April update in Destiny
Sony has revealed details about the scope of the Playstation-exclusive content: It will now include more than just the sniper rifle Zen Meteor, which was presented earlier this month. Additionally, there will be an exclusive Sparrow and armor pieces for each class.
This is the exotic sniper rifle Zen Meteor
Playstation Guardians can obtain the Zen Meteor by having the Cryptarch decrypt exotic or legendary engrams, or from “other sources of Year 2 Exotics.”
The weapon has special perks:
- Dynamite: Grants explosive rounds. Quick kills with all bullets in the magazine grant you an additional round for 5 seconds that does more damage.
- With a Laser Beam: The extra round from Dynamite causes a massive explosion.

The Sparrow “Velumbra” is also Playstation-exclusive
Playstation 3 and PS4 players can look forward to the exclusive Velumbra Sparrow. To obtain this stylish Sparrow, you must complete the mission “Fight Fire with Fire.” This will likely be the last mission of the quest line “Essence of Darkness”, as this quest also states that the Velumbra Sparrow will be rewarded for its successful completion.
In the name of this Sparrow is a statement by Petra Venj, which translates to:
“I face the coming challenges with dry eyes. There will be a time to mourn, but not before we have our vengeance.”

Hunters, Warlocks, and Titans can earn exclusive armor sets on Playstation. You will receive these by decoding Sublime engrams.
