In the MMO shooter Destiny , Xur, the Agent of the Nine, comes to the Tower or the Reef one last time on September 11 in Year 1. What exotic items does he have with him?
We don’t really know what to expect from Xur today, as the major Patch 2.0 is already online. Maybe Xur has also changed and it was “accidentally” left out in the patch notes. But normally, he should still have the Year 1 inventory. Unless Bungie is planning a surprise.
The new Xur at a glance
By now, relatively much is known about how Xur will function in Year 2 of Destiny.
He will continue to sell exotic weapons and armors, with a focus likely shifting significantly towards the armors. Since most exotic weapons in Year 2 of Destiny will be tied to quests, Xur will not offer them. On Wednesday, we presented you the 13 known “new” exotic weapons in Destiny and also mentioned which three of them Xur will sell.
However, these may not be all the weapons: Surely he also has the Year 2 versions of the selected Year 1 exotic weapons available that receive this special treatment. However, these may not be very attractive for players if Xur offers them since they can also be obtained from the Blue Print Collection.
Furthermore, there are hidden weapons in the database. Bungie still has a trick or two up its sleeve.
In the coming days, we are actually planning a detailed introduction to the new exotic armors that come with the Taken King. Xur will offer significantly more of these.
It is also known that Xur will receive a new game mechanic where players can acquire a consumable item to increase their chances of an exotic drop from the next boss. A “Legacy” Engram, from which Year 1 Exotics can drop, has also been confirmed.
However, it is not known whether the helmet/chest/glove engrams will still be available in Year 2 as they currently are.
Xur on September 11, 12, and 13 in Destiny
When does Xur come and when does he leave?
Xur arrives on Friday, September 11, at 11:00 AM. He leaves on Sunday, September 13, at 11:00 AM.
Where is Xur?
Xur is among the vendors of the Crucible.
What do the numbers in parentheses mean?
Those are the values in parentheses. They should now be much lower than in the previous weeks. This shouldn’t change the potential of these armors in the game; they merely compressed the numbers throughout Destiny.
What is Xur selling this week?
Xur sells the sniper rifle “No Land Beyond.” It has been buffed with Patch 2.0. The handling has improved, and the master perk now deals higher base damage. For the weapon, he wants 23 strange coins.
For Titans, he has the Helm of Inmost Light (32/34). As for all armors, Xur wants 13 strange coins.- cash on the line.
For Hunters, he has the Hallowed Night Hawk (25), a DLC-2 helmet.
For Warlocks, there is the Apotheosis Veil (30/32), also a helmet.
A chest engram rounds off his offer.
Change: For 1 strange coin, there used to be 5 heavy ammo synths. Now there are “only” three.
