Xur is coming to the MMO shooter Destiny on April 8th for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
The last puzzle pieces are slowly coming together, the image we have from the patch on April 12th is more or less complete. Sure, there is still a bit of white on the edges, a few details are still missing, and maybe there will be a surprise, but most of it should be known now.
We know the new challenges with the Prison of Elders, new armor, exotics, emotes, the light level, and much more. A lot is changing, but not as much as with a “DLC” in year 1, that seems to be shaping up. So, they are largely leaving the vendors alone, at least there’s no information about that yet. We will definitely know on Tuesday evening when the patch comes that is supposed to bring the biggest change to Destiny since “The Taken King”.

Xur is bringing a chest engram today, no weapon. Xur wants 19 Strange Coins for that.
For Titans, there is the chest armor Emblem of Alpha Lupi. (84 INT) The armor pieces cost 13 Strange Coins.
Hunters get the gloves “Don’t Touch Me.” (27 DIS, 32 STR)
Warlocks can purchase the gloves “The Impossible Machines” (53 STR).
As a Legacy engram, there are gloves. These contain year 1 items with year 1 values.
From the year 2 engram, the following “new” year 2 items can drop, the others are rehashes from year 1.
- For Warlocks the Alchemist’s Robe.
- For Titans the Dawning Guard.
- For Hunters the ATS/8 Tarantella.
The Tarantella and the Dawning Guard were added in December. They are both likely to be relatively sought after, especially the Dawning Guard is considered a fan favorite.
