In the MMO shooter Destiny there is a new reset today, Tuesday, October 27, starting at 10:00 AM. This brings a fresh Nightfall, a weekly dusk strike.
In recent weeks, Tuesday was also patch day, with a hotfix or patch released each time. It seems that this is not the case today, on October 27. Last week, the rewards for the dusk strike were increased.
The surprise this week came last night at 6:00 PM. The Festival of the Lost suddenly became active, players are passing the time with cheeky games or sitting frustrated in the corner because there is no loot.
Those who were good in Paradox last week will get No Time to Explain this week
Hopefully, this is different in the dusk strike. It will be active today from 10:00 AM – thanks to the time change.
What many may still be happy about: The quest for No Time to Explain is live today. So for those who did the “Paradox” last week and were frustrated that there was no quest.
Weekly Dusk Strike against Alak-Hul
In the dark, it’s good to mumble, the Nightfall leads against Alak-Hul, known as the Dark Blade.
Modifiers are
- Void-Touch – Void damage dealt by guardians is doubled, while the damage dealt by enemies is tripled
- Brawler – Guardians deal significantly increased melee damage
- Juggler – Enemies do not drop ammunition for the weapon you have equipped at the moment of their demise
- Ironclad – More enemies have shields
Kagoor is the boss on T3 in Oryx’s Courtyard and here’s how to defeat her
The T3 boss in Oryx’s Courtyard this week is Kagoor. She is the witch accompanied by ogres. Here’s how to defeat this encounter:
To damage Kagoor, you first need to take out the giant ogre. However, this ogre has an equally gigantic HP pool. Therefore, you need to take out specific enemies, a type of eye, to receive a buff that allows you to deal more damage to ogres. The buff is stackable 3 times, after which you can also quickly take out the “normal” ogres.
Once the big ogre is down, use all abilities to deal damage to Kagoor. After 30 seconds, the next big ogre spawns, and the game starts over if you haven’t defeated her by then.
Are there guides, tips, or tricks for the challenges of the week?
At this point, we will be bringing videos of successful runs against the special enemies this week throughout the day. You can watch, maybe learn something, or just be entertained.
From our friend Nexxoss Gaming, here is the current dusk strike with Alak-Hul on the grave ship:
And here we see how he and his group deal with Kagoor in Oryx’s Courtyard, a guide:
The really challenging stuff in Destiny usually runs without matchmaking, if you’re looking for friends, you have to do it the old-fashioned way. You can find tips for that in this article.
