In Destiny, the first DLC “The Dark Below” launches on Tuesday, December 9th, at 10:00 AM in Germany. Guardians shouldn’t rush to start right away.
It was officially confirmed today by Bungie, and there are no surprises: The DLC “The Dark Below” for Destiny will go live worldwide at the same time, with the weekly reset.
The reset occurs at 1 AM on the West Coast of the USA. That means it will be 10:00 AM for us. At release, players could access the servers earlier depending on their time zone. That won’t be the case this time.
The Dark Below is scheduled to be available to all players about 24 hours from now. Ready yourselves to dismantle a new Hive threat.

Warning! Don’t rush to start
With the launch of “The Dark Below,” some new rules will come into effect, regarding the turning in of exotic bounties and similar aspects. Therefore, the warning: Make sure the DLC is really active before you turn in these bounties. First, test whether you can accept and play one of the new missions. If necessary, restart your console. In the past, there have been cases where players started an activity with the “weekly ID reset” and then received no reward because it was still counted as an “old ID.” You certainly don’t want to experience such disappointment when turning in exotic bounties, decrypting saved engrams, unpacking packages from the Postmaster, or engaging in other activities you’re looking forward to.

Tomorrow morning, if everything goes smoothly, we will probably check if we can find a live stream to embed. And, should anything happen, whether good or not-so-good, we will of course be there and report as quickly as possible. Then, we might already have news for you during the day about how the new raid feels or what the new Nightfall strike will be like. It is supposed to have been raised to level 30 as well. In any case, even if you might not be at the console right now, you can rely on being informed here about the launch of “The Dark Below” in Destiny.
And a patch is coming before that
Update 19:30: It also looks like a patch is coming our way today in the next few hours. It is supposed to be a “minor” patch. What the patch will bring is still unknown. It probably won’t be anything major.

Update 20:40: The patch didn’t do much, fixed some bugs, and increased the difficulty for weekly heroic strikes, the Nightfall strike, and daily story missions. Here you can read about it officially.
