In Destiny, the Vex Mythoclast is back! We will show you how to obtain this weapon from the Glass Chamber in Year 3, in the Age of Triumph.
In the first year of Destiny, the Vex Mythoclast was one of the most coveted and powerful weapons in the game. A Guardian wielding this fusion rifle could single-handedly turn entire Crucible matches. This overpowering presence was not in line with game balance, which is why Bungie responded with strong nerfs. With the dawn of Year 2, the Vex Mythoclast was completely left behind. Since then, it has remained quiet regarding this former beast.
As of April 4, 2017, the Vex Mythoclast is back! The Age of Triumph brought the Glass Chamber back to endgame level – along with this fusion rifle.
Vex Mythoclast in Year 3 – Location
Unlike the Necrochasm, the Vex Mythoclast is not tied to any quest. Instead, you need to enter the Glass Chamber and defeat Atheon in the 390 Light Level version.
When you defeat Atheon, there is a chance for him to drop the Vex Mythoclast. Several users confirm that the Challenge Mode is not necessary to obtain the weapon. It can also drop from a “normal” Atheon kill at 390.
If you want to increase your chances of getting the Vex Mythoclast, you can apply the new consumables “Knees of Eao” before the Atheon fight. This is supposed to enhance the rewards. In the Glass Chamber, you can obtain these directly from the first chest that awaits you after entering the chamber. The Knees of Eao are available once a week.
