In the MMO shooter Destiny, we take a closer look at the exotic pistol “Trespasser”.
Since the update 2.4.0, there is a new weapon in the game, which was expected to arrive at the launch of “Rise of Iron”. This weapon is the “Trespasser”. According to Bungie, it is not a bug that it is available early in the game. It is intentional, and they hope Guardians have fun with it. So if you already possess the weapon, you don’t need to worry about it being taken away from you.
You currently receive this fine piece by decrypting exotic special weapon engrams. With a good portion of luck, you can obtain the Trespasser this way. There are also sporadic mentions online regarding other methods to acquire the weapon, but the way with the exotic engrams is currently the only one confirmed by many Guardians.
What makes the Trespasser special in Destiny?
So far, there is no trace of “Trespasser” in Destiny’s database. Therefore, the following information comes from screenshots and videos found online.
These are the perks:
- Be the danger (exotic perk): This weapon fires volleys of bullets with deadly danger.
- Sights: Quickdraw OV, Steady Hand OV, Sure Shot OV
- Unyielding Pursuer: Kills with this weapon temporarily improve movement tracking. The radar becomes more precise.
You can choose between:
- Handloader: This weapon is effective at greater ranges.
- Enhanced Barrel: Increased range, reduced stability.
- Fastdraw: This weapon can be drawn incredibly fast.
- Not Remorseful (exotic perk): Reloading after a kill grants a longer, more powerful super volley. This buff lasts for 5 seconds:

Not Remorseful fires a 6-shot volley. Apparently, the damage per shot does not increase.
Ornaments: Fallen Assassin and Crucible Assassin:
The Trespasser is a typical pistol with a high rate of fire, stability, and fast reload speed. However, the damage drop-off is said to be brutal, so every meter to the enemy counts. You can find the stats here:
How does Trespasser perform in PvE and PvP?
The community is still divided on the utility of this exotic in practice. However, it is definitely fun to play with it. In PvP, it shows solid performance, but you have to get very close to the enemies, as the damage drop-off is so extreme – almost shotgun range.
In PvE, the amount of ammunition the Trespasser fires is both impressive and problematic. But currently, it is too early to make a definitive judgment about the Trespasser.
What are your experiences with this weapon?
We will embed two short videos below, where you can see “Trespasser” in action:

By the way: According to user reports, the Trespasser is currently not shown in the kiosk for exotic weapons.
Note: With update 2.4.0, weapon balancing has been adjusted.Pistols are also affected.
Here you can find issues and “secret” changes after the update 2.4.0 in Destiny. Bungie has already stated that they are investigating some of these issues.
