In the MMO shooter Destiny, the Trials of Osiris begin today, on June 16th. On which map will they take place?
In Destiny 2, several changes will be made to the Trials of Osiris. It is already known that they will not be available directly at the launch of Destiny 2, but shortly after (even before the first DLC). Additionally, they will be played in a 4v4 mode – like all PvP modes in Destiny 2.
Some Guardians have speculated that there would be more information about the Trials in Destiny 2 at E3. However, that was not the case. This will be discussed in the future.
Interestingly, the developers never referred to the “Trials of Osiris” concerning Destiny 2, but always called them the “Trials.” A leak a few weeks ago suggested that the Trials in Destiny 2 would be the “Trials of the Nine.” However, this has not been confirmed yet. In the coming weeks and months, we will surely know more.
In any case, the Trials of Osiris begin today. It will be played on the map The Burning Shrine.
What are the Trials of Osiris?
In the Trials, you engage in PvP battles in the “Elimination” mode. You compete against each other in teams of three and try to fill your scorecard with wins. If the opposing team is completely defeated, you win a round. Fallen team members can be revived. Here, it’s not only about having strong equipment, but also about communication among the Guardians. A good knowledge of the map is advantageous.
At 5 and 7 wins, you receive random rewards from Osiris’ pool. Additionally, you should keep an eye on Brother Vance’s bounties for extra rewards. If you’re in top form, you can reach Mercury with a “Flawless” ticket and loot the chest with the fine loot there.
Good luck in the Trials, Guardians.
