In the MMO shooter Destiny, the Trials of Osiris begin today, March 17th. Which map will be played?
A good month ago, the update 2.5.0.2 was released, which adjusted the weapon balance in Destiny. Just a few days later, the best weapon types that dominate the new meta became clear: the hand cannons, the sidearms, and particularly in the Trials, the sniper rifle No Land Beyond, which can be used in the primary slot. If you don’t reach for the hand cannon, the secondary slot is filled with a sniper.
With “Age of Triumph,” there will be another sandbox update. Bungie will discuss this in detail next Wednesday during a livestream. How this will affect the meta-game remains to be seen.
In advance, the Trials of Osiris start today. They begin at 6 PM and run until the weekly reset next week. This time, the map Rusted Lands will be played.
What are the Trials of Osiris?
In the Trials, you engage in PvP battles in the “Elimination” mode. You compete in teams of three and try to fill your scorecard with victories. If the opposing team is completely defeated, you win a round. Fallen team members can be revived. Here, it’s not just about having strong gear, but also about communication among the Guardians. A solid knowledge of the map is advantageous.
With 5 and 7 victories, there are random rewards from the stash of Osiris. You should also keep an eye on Brother Vance’s bounties for extra rewards. If you’re in top form, you can reach Mercury with a “flawless” ticket and loot the chest with fine loot there.
