In the MMO shooter Destiny , maintenance work is taking place today on April 7th. The servers will be offline .
As Bungie announces, Destiny will be undergoing maintenance today on PS3, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox 360: The servers will be down and inaccessible for 4 hours.
- From 5 PM, players will no longer be able to log in.
- From 6 PM, players will be pulled from activities and the servers will go offline.
- The maintenance will last until around 10 PM.
Update 9:50 PM. Bungie has extended the maintenance until 11 PM and thanks players for their patience.
Update 11:05: It’s back on. Apparently, there was no patch.

Nothing else is known. Experience shows: It is likely that the April patch will be deployed today but not yet activated. The April patch was introduced in a series of live streams and will bring some new content.
It is expected to become “active” on Tuesday evening around 7 PM. It is quite conceivable that a larger download of several gigabytes will take place this evening after maintenance.
