In the MMO shooter Destiny , Patch 2.0 has been outlined. It is set to be released next week.
The major changes will arrive on September 15. Bungie has hammered this into us long enough with trailers. Then Oryx will land in our world, and he thirsts for revenge for his son, who was killed by the Lankabel glitch.
At what time does the Taken King begin?
We now also have an exact start time for the spectacle: At 11 AM our time on Tuesday, September 15, the Taken King will commence.
But next week, Patch 2.0 is coming, which will provide a lot to do for a whole week. Year 2 basically begins with it. Lord Shaxx agrees:
And this will happen next week on September 8 in Destiny
Everything will change on September 8 when Patch 2.0 is deployed:
- The PvP modes Mayhem (Super and abilities have shorter cooldown) and Rift (a kind of Capture-the-Flag) will be active as a crucible preview for one week – these two modes will be accessible to all Destiny players for one week, and starting the week after that, only players who have purchased the Taken King can use them.
- The new leveling system will be introduced, with players converted from their light level to the “new level.” The maximum reachable light level with the current gear (including that in the vault/inventory) will be the new experience level of the Guardian. Those below light level 34 can level up to the maximum level of 34 through experience. (Level 40 will be available a week later).
- The values of weapons and armor will be recalculated, with numbers changing while the item level remains the same.
- A new quest interface will be introduced.
- The questification of Year 1 content will also be carried out.
- The number of bounties will rise to 16.
- Collections for emblems and shaders will come to the tower.
- And the blueprints for exotic weapons and armor will arrive.
- With light particles, weapons and armor can now gain experience points.
- There will only be one class-specific armor material for all three classes.
- Old materials can be converted by the Vanguard quartermaster.
- The changes to weapons and the exotic weapons will take effect.
- And certain patrol missions will no longer be available.

- Vanguard and crucible tokens will be converted into reputation rewards; where these tokens previously existed, there will now be legendary tokens [Update: Bungie has corrected this; this will happen on September 15]
- The Elder’s Monogram will no longer drop from Skolas; the three exotic weapons that came from this bounty can now be found in one of the treasure chests in the Prison of Elders.
- Also, starting Tuesday, September 8, it will already be possible to collect reputation with the gunsmith Banshee for the Armsday event.
- Uncompleted Year 1 bounties will be automatically canceled; uncompleted exotic Year 1 bounties will be automatically completed with their respective vendor; completed bounties from Crucible or Vanguard will remain in the inventory.
The special emblem for Year 1 players that could be earned will be available until September 14, the deadline has been extended. Players should keep the following storage space available: Xbox 360 10 GB; Ps4/XBox One 18 GB; PS3 20 GB (on PS3, the patch takes up only 10 GB after installation).
They warn again against deleting characters or breaking down anything before September 15.
The complete patch notes are set to come next week. Much of what is already coming on September 8 has been presented extensively in a live stream. We have summarized it here.
Today, on September 4, Xur will appear in the Tower or the Reef, likely for a last or second-to-last time under the old rules. We will greet him at 11:00 AM. Here is our article about him.
