In Destiny, the rewards and challenges of the new record book are known, which will bring the “The Dawning” event.
In a week, on 13.12., “The Departure” starts. This winter event brings a record book called “Competitive Spirit”, which will represent your companion for the upcoming tasks.
This “Record Book” is completely free for owners of “The Taken King”. It will not only record your successes in Sparrow Racing, but also those in Strike Scoring, a new feature in the Strikes.
These rewards are available in the new record book
The “Competitive Spirit” record book consists of three pages: On the first page, the rewards are listed, on the second page the SRL challenges, and on the third page the Strike Scoring tasks. By mastering the tasks, you climb in rank. At certain ranks, these rewards are available:
- Rank 2: Emblem – Signet of Speed
- Rank 3: Ornaments – “SRL Champion” (3 pieces)
- Rank 4: Shader – Hoarfrost
- Rank 5: Consumable – Amanda’s Tag
- Rank 6: Gesture – Good Game
- Rank 7: Consumable – Xur’s Tag
- Rank 8: Sparrow – EV-31 Nightbird
- Rank 9: Consumable – Saladin’s Tag
- Rank 10: Shader – Dawn’s Return
- Rank 11: Emblem – Star of Dawn

Challenges – SRL
Eight tasks want to be fulfilled here:

- In It to The Finish: Complete 25 Sparrow races.
- Precision Racing: Pass through 1000 gates.
- Tricky: Perform 100 tricks.
- Speed Bumps: Kill 50 enemies.
- Red Racer: Beat the time of 5:30 on the “Campus Martius” track.
- Maximum Velocity: Beat the time of 5:30 on the “Infinite Descent” track.
- Sand Speeder: Beat the time of 5:30 on the “Shining Sands” track.
- Slalom: Beat the time of 5:30 on the “Haakon Precipice” track.
Challenges – Strike Scoring (Strike Elite)
The Strike Elite, led by Zavala, has these eight tasks for you:

- Heroic High Score: Beat the high score of 40,000 in the heroic SIVA crisis strike playlist.
- Champion of Night: Beat the high score of 55,000 points in the Nightfall strike.
- Scores of Scores: Achieve a “cumulative high score” of 500,000.
- Bounty Hunter: Complete 20 of Zavala’s bounties.
- Pot of Gold: Quickly earn primary, secondary, and heavy streak medals to receive 5 “Rainbow Medals”.
- Killing Spree: Earn 250 “Killing Spree” medals.
- Super Hero: Earn 50 Super medals.
- All the Medals: Earn 20 completion medals.
After the “The Dawning” event, you will keep the record book and you can continue to complete the tasks within it. During the event, you can also complete the challenges from the SRL book from 2015.
