In the MMO shooter Destiny the Iron Banner has been canceled. Because of matches like this.
A Destiny player uploaded a match on YouTube and presented it on reddit, which he completed in the Trials of Osiris, before Osiris was prematurely ended due to “matchmaking” problems.
Due to exactly these “matchmaking problems”, Bungie has also decided to cancel the Iron Banner that was announced for this week. But how does this look in detail?
That is why there is no Iron Banner this week
In the video, you can see: loading times between rounds take forever and when it finally continues, the other team is only two players left and therefore without a chance. Even worse: the match was actually almost decided 4-2 in favor of the Alpha team. After the “loading pause”, however, there was a completely different score; the 4 victories of the Alpha team were apparently just forgotten and Bravo now led 2-0.
These are probably the problems that are concealed when Bungie speaks of “issues preventing some players from joining matches”.
Under these circumstances, it was probably better to minimize PvP activities this week. Even though there is a lot of giggling in the video and the team is amused by the absurdity of the situation: the fun of playing looks different.
According to the latest update, Bungie is working on a fix to ensure that the Crucible meets Saladin’s expectations again.
