In Destiny, Lord Saladin has Dusty Iron Engrams available. What is it all about?
Since October 4th, the October Iron Banner has been running in 2016. And there are some new things: There are fresh items, changed rules, and a new Iron Banner representative: Efrideet. This former Iron Lord has returned and takes over the role that Lord Saladin has excellently fulfilled in recent years.
With Efrideet, you will find bounties and the Weapons and armor pieces in the “Iron Banner” look, which you can acquire from certain Iron Banner ranks. She is now the contact person for the monthly PvP event. You can find her at the Felwinter Peak, when you run over the bridge and then turn left.
But Lord Saladin also has a new item in his inventory: A Dusty Iron Engram. What is this?
With Silver Dust for old Iron Banner Gear
In addition to emblems and shaders, Lord Saladin now sells you a “Dusty Iron Engram.” You have to pay 5 Silver Dust for it. The in-game description reads:
Contains an Iron Banner armor piece.
When you have the dusty engram decrypted by the Cryptarch, Iron Banner items from year 1 and 2 are included. For example, the Iron Insignia items and the Iron Will items.
All decrypted items are at Light Level 3. Therefore, Dusty Iron Engrams are not suitable for leveling up. Collectors, however, should be pleased with the chance to obtain these stylish armor pieces.
However, the 5 Silver Dust is not exactly little for many Guardians – unless you want to spend real money for Radiant Treasures. Some prefer to save this new currency for the ornaments that Xur brings week after week.
