In Destiny , two hints from the last livestream raise questions.
“The Rise of Iron” is coming fast. On September 20, winter will break in, bringing not only heaps of snow but also a new threat: SIVA.
Until the release of “Rise of Iron”, the developers will gradually reveal new information about the content of the autumn expansion. The next announcement will take place during Gamescom. Here, Bungie intends to introduce the “new Crucible”.
However, there are still a few days left. Guardians will ambitiously use this time to discover every little detail from the last livestream of the “Cosmodrome Winter Tour”. YouTuber Arekkz Gaming showcases two hints in the following video:
SIVA on the Trail
During the livestream, we were introduced to the new danger: SIVA. It appears everywhere in the Cosmodrome – and in the Plaguelands – in the form of red “roots” covered with black, pyramid-shaped objects. We know that SIVA is supposed to be both organic and mechanical and represents a self-replicating technology. But so far, everything about SIVA remains highly secretive and mysterious.
The first discovered hint is a SIVA symbol marking a patrol. The symbol was only briefly visible on screen. However, the developers did not give it any attention, so it can only be speculated what kind of mission will be associated with it. This patrol may resemble those of the Taken patrols: You need to visit a specific location and cleanse it of Splicers (the new enemies).
The second hint was briefly visible in the bottom left of the screen when a Guardian in the fireteam collected a previously unknown object: “Dormant SIVA Clusters.” This item has the quality “Legendary,” but what it entails remains a subject of speculation. Arekkz suggests that these could be crafting items needed for a specific quest. For example, the gunsmith or a completely new character could craft a cool weapon. Perhaps even a new Exotic? However, the function of these dormant SIVA Clusters remains entirely unknown.
