In the MMO shooter Destiny, a Guardian has recreated the Willbreaker swords. His weapon replicas come with “Special Effects”
Who among you remembers the moment when he held a sword for the first time in Destiny? Dozens of enemies around you, yearning for your Light – and you amidst them, alone with your sword in hand. And then it begins: you throw yourself into the fray with the sword and happily strike down opponents. This feeling of holding a sword from Destiny remains limited for most of us to the console experience. However, the cosplayer and prop maker Eric Newgard refuses to be confined by these limits and has taken it upon himself to recreate the Willbreaker swords.
Willbreaker Swords for the Living Room
Newgard now owns the Solar, Void, and Arc swords, which he brings to life in his cosplay. According to his own statements, he has crafted them over the past few months from various materials. You can view the related images by clicking through the imgur image series.
To make the Willbreaker swords look even more authentic, he has equipped them with “Special Effects”: With the push of a button, the Guardian makes the swords glow. In the following video, you can get an impression of it yourself:
